Description: The Ashtavinayak yatra is a pilgrimage of eight Ganesha temples in Maharashtra—Mayureswar in Moregaon, Siddhivinayak in Siddhtek, Balleswar in Pali, Varada Vinayak in Mahad, Chinatmani in Theur; Girijatmaj in Lenyandri, Vignaeswar in Ojar, and Maha Ganapati in Ranjangaon. Devotees on this circular pilgrimage route visit these eight temples in this order and complete the pilgrimage in Moregaon, where they started. As at all Ganesha shrines, Ganesh Chaturthi is a big celebration in these temples.
The artist has created a gallery with arched frames for each Ganesha in which all are the same size, but each is distinct in posture and attributes.
