Description: Ashtalakshmi is the physical manifestation of eight forms of wealth that Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, is attributed with— Adi Lakshmi (spirituality), Dhana Lakshmi (material wealth), Dhanya Lakshmi (agriculture), Rajya Lakshmi (royalty), Vidya Lakshmi (knowledge), Dhairya Lakshmi (courage), Santana Lakshmi (progeny), and Vijaya Lakshmi (victory). Other forms of Lakshmi that are also often included are Gaja Lakshmi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Varalakshmi and Soubhagya Lakshmi. This composition has Ganesha at the centre and the various manifestations of the goddess around him. Unlike in the traditional Tanjore style, no one figure is important; all are given equal importance.
